Give the conversation a job
A general chat box starts with an empty prompt. A useful product starts with a purpose: help someone understand an offer, find relevant information or take a clear next step. Defining that job makes it easier to decide which information belongs in the system and which actions should remain with a person.
Design the handoff
The important moment is often where the conversation ends. What context reaches the team? Can the user tell what will happen next? Where does the system need clarification? We treat those transitions as product design, not details to add after the model integration is working.
Separate the build from the outcome
A working interface demonstrates a delivery milestone. It does not, by itself, demonstrate better conversion or less operational work. The Harbor product study describes the design and system boundaries without presenting invented customer results. The next step for any deployment is to agree what success means and measure it in the actual workflow.
